BEE CLEAN: I will promote healthy soil & will not use chemical pesticides.
BEE COOL: I will leave water out for pollinators.
BEE HELPFUL: I will mow less to allow for lawn flowers to bloom.
BEE HEALTHY: I will plant organic pollinator plants and will not buy plants treated with neonicotinoids. 
BEE CONNECTED: I will talk to neighbors about the importance of pollinators.

The history of the Bee-Friendly Campaign

Created in 2021 as a way to help people growing pollinator habitat in their front yards communicate with their more traditional neighbors who might still be spraying pesticides and poisoning their dandelions with Round Up.  Creating a sense of community and solidarity, the campaign consists of taking the pledge and getting a free sign to put in your yard.  With over 500 signs passed out in 2 years, Bee Friendly Reno is now expanding to include the whole state of Nevada.
